GeoEcoMar International Symposium "RIVERS – DELTAS - SEAS"

Dear participants at the GeoEcoMar International Symposium 2010,

We would like to inform you that we have reached an agreement for accommodation with Hotel Trianon in Bucharest. Please be so kind and register on-line at www.hoteltrianon.ro - the registration coordinates being available at www.hoteltrianon.ro/contact-accommodation-romania.
For the period of the workshop, the singles have the rate of 49 E/night, while the doubles cost 52 E/night.
When booking with the hotel, please mention GEOECOMAR in your message – and also add in cc the following email addresses: astanica at geoecomar.ro and madalina at geoecomar.ro.
Those who may need different conditions- or who may wish to apply for a different accommodation, please let us know. If announced in due time, we may be able to look also for other possibilities.
In what regards the venue of the Symposium, it will be held in the Aula of the Library of the Romanian Academy of Sciences. A programme will be sent to participants in September.

The National Institute of Marine Geology and Geoecology – GeoEcoMar is one of Romania`s lead R&D institutes, specializing mainly in the complex geological, sedimentological, geophysical, geo-ecological, geochemical study of the Danube River – Danube Delta – coast – Black Sea macro-geo-system. For GeoEcoMar, the years of active involvement and international scientific cooperation in the field of fluvial – wetland – delta – coastal – marine systems have created the opportunity to put together significant scientific results of research units from Europe and worldwide for a better common knowledge, understanding and collaboration.

First Circular GeoEcoMar Symposium 2010

Participants are strongly invited to submit papers based on their oral or poster presentations.
These will be peer reviewed and published in GeoEcoMar`s journal "Geo-Eco-Marina" after the peer reviewing process.

    A three-day excursion to the Danube Delta may be organized after the symposium, depending on the number of participants registering for this event (minimum ten) in the First Circular. The excursion will consist of the transfer Bucharest – Murighiol - GeoEcoMar`s boathouse in the Danube Delta (2 nights) and back and a one-day excursion by ship (GeoEcoMar`s fluvial R/V “Istros”) to the Sf. Gheorghe mouth of the Danube. Estimated cost of the excursion is of 250 Euro.
