Details of venue

The meeting will be held at the Casa Universitarilor (University House), Dionisie Lupu Street, No. 46, Bucharest that is an impressive monument of architecture of the 19th century located in the downtown of Bucharest and hosts many scientifical and cultural events. The Plenary Meeting will be held in the Grand Salle - 125 places, while Sessions will take place in the rooms 1, 2 and 3, which have 30 places. All facilities for oral presentations are available. A special place for poster sessions also exists.

THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF GEOLOGY (SOSEAUA KISELEFF No. 2)
built in 1906 on the orders of King Carol I to house what was then known as the Royal Romanian Geological Society, the building is a splendid example of Neo-Brancovenesque architecture. The museum's permanent collections are impressive, being grouped in various thematic collections, i.e., mineralogy, petrography, palaeontology, the Mesozoic Salle, the Paleogene Salle, etc. The museum is also one of the most active in the city, playing host to varied and never less than fascinating temporary geological exhibitions.
