The financing of our research activity is achieved through participation in domestic and international tenders and through direct contracting with partners from the country or abroad.
In recent years, GeoEcoMar has won numerous competitions launched by the Ministry of Education and Research (Research of Excellence – CEEX, Core Program – PN), CNCSIS and the Romanian Academy (grants), as well as tenders for projects launched by government research authorities, including for projects with international co-financing.
GeoEcoMar has a rich international activity through the European Commission’s funding programmes, in collaboration with partner European institutions and universities in France, Italy and Portugal. The Institute also participates in joint scientific research projects with partners from Switzerland, Ukraine, China and Canada.
GeoEcoMar has provided and provides specialized services and consultancy to economic agents in the country and abroad, including OMV-PETROM, EXXON Mobil, Sterling, Black Sea Oil and Gas, CNE, MAREXIN Bv, DHV, but also to financing agencies such as JICA (Japan) and the United Nations Development Programme – EMBLAS races at the Black Sea.
