Gravimetry – Magnetometry Team

Regional (1:200000 – 1:500000) and local (1:500 – 1:5000) geophysical investigations:

  • River, lake and marine magneto-metric research using Geometrics G-882 optically pumped magnetometers;
  • Terrestrial magneto-metric research using proton precession magnetometers Geometrics G-856;
  • Magnetic data representation and interpretation: magnetic thematic maps (Geosoft Oasis Montage ™, Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 MAP 3D, Global Mapper, QGIS);
  • 2D and 2¾D geophysical modelling (Geosoft Oasis Montage ™ GM-SYS) of magnetic and gravimetric data, integrated with 2D / 3D seismic data, well data, petrophysical data, etc.; depth determination; integrated interpretation of magnetic and gravimetric maps;
  • DGPS / GNSS topographic measurements (Trimble M3 total station, Trimble R3, R6 differential DGPS systems);
  • Single-beam bathymetric measurements (Ceeducer Pro, Ceetide);
  • GNSS data processing for studies on Earth crustal deformations (TopCon Tools);

Shallow geophysics:

  • High resolution magneto-metric research for the complex characterization of the archaeological sites, both on land and in submerged areas;
  • Magnetic susceptibility measurements using the Bartington MS3 system;
  • Precise detection and location of sunken objects (wrecks, UXO, other sunken artifacts);
  • 2D and 2¾D geophysical modelling of buried archaeological artifacts (settlements, mounds, constructions, ditches, walls, etc.).
