Betweeen 7 - 11, 2026 September, a team of GeoEcoMar researchers participated in the 10th edition of the World Multidisciplinary Earth Sciences Symposium (WMCEES 2026), held in Ostrava, Czech Republic. (WMCEES 2026)
The WMCEES represents a new and exciting discussion forum for professionals, enthusiasts, and emerging scientists in the fields of Geosciences, Earth Sciences and Environmental Sciences. The Congress focuses on a multidisciplinary approach that combines innovative ideas and approaches in the aforementioned and related fields. It aims to create an environment for discussion about the latest trends, solutions, and challenges in these areas and to seek inspiration for the future. WMCEES strives to bring new perspectives and showcase best practices in earth and environmental sciences.
The team consisted of Sorin Anghel, Gabriel Iordache, Dragos Andrei Gabriel, and Bogdan Marius Bărăităreanu. During the poster session, they presented the following posters: ”A Topo-Bathymetric Data Integration Approach to Study the Dynamics in the Danube Delta” - Gabriel Iordache; ”Ground-Penetrating Radar Investigation of Gas Emissions at Băile Lăzărești, Harghta County, Romania” - Andrei Gabriel Dragoș; ”Geoelectrical Investigation of Aquifers in the Bodoc Site, Covasna County, Using the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) Method” - Marius Bogdan Bărăităreanu; „Integration of Dynamic CO₂ Leakage Modelling into the Design and Evaluation of Monitoring System for Geological Storage” and ”Application of Magnetometric Methods for Detecting Submerged Metalic Pollution: Case Study of Rădăcinosu, Trei iezere and La amiază lakes (Danube Delta)” – both presented by Sorin Anghel.
