EMODnet: Operation, development and maintenance of a European Marine Observation and Data Network: Seabed Habitats

Acronym: EMODnet

The Seabed Habitats project activities will consist of building a habitat support layer, modelled from multiple databases. Analyses will identify biologically relevant threshold values for the variables used to define the boundaries between classes. A new model, required to produce a large-scale EUNIS habitat map at a scale of 1:100,000 or larger, will extend the spatial coverage to include the Barents Sea and other areas where input data coverage allows.
