PN18160403 – Integration of the GeoEcoMar database into the Geographic Information System for marine data

Acronim: GEODEMAN

Study on the European Parliament’s INSPIRE Directive and how it can be harmonized with data from marine buoys.

  • Adaptating the marine data from EUXINUS buoys in the INSPIRE format;
  • Creation of the metadata file according to EC Regulation 1205/2008, amended by EC Regulation 1311/2014 for the geospatial data set related to the measurements of the buoys located in the Black Sea, in collaboration with the company contracted for the project;
  • The procedure for creating the INSPIRE meta-data file for the „other service” service for downloading the aforementioned dataset in non-SPIRE format, in collaboration with the company contracted within the project;
  • Verifying the protocol of compliance of meta-data files with the support of the European Commission validator;
  • The procedure for uploading the meta-data files within the national geo-catalogue INSPIRE in order to index them in the national geo-portal and subsequently in the European one;
  • Training by the contracted company on how to edit metadata files and on the procedure for updating them in the national geo-catalog;
  • Implementation of electronic forms (software applications) distributed to data producers for filling in metadata during the acquisition phase of information from field campaigns and producing a standardized campaign report;
  • Configuring a virtual machine to offer WMS and WFS services on Open Source solutions;
  • Creation of the INSPIRE metadata file for the visualization service related to the aforementioned dataset;
  • Configuring the GetCapabilities service for the visualization and adaptation service of meta-data files (coupled resources);
  • Implementing a data security, integrity and availability model, designing and implementing mandatory protocols and procedures regarding access, transport and use of information: procedures for logging information access, producing reports on information security, integrity and availability;
