On the occasion of its 25 anniversary, the National Institute for Research and Development on Marine Geology and Geo-ecology – GeoEcoMar organizes the international conference ”Rivers – Deltas – Seas Systems. Celebrating 25 years of the National Research and Development Institute for Marine Geology and Geo-Ecology – GeoEcoMar” on the 15 and the 16 of November 2018.
The conference will begin with two speeches, by Academician Nicolae Panin, the first general director of NIRD GeoEcoMar and Institute founder, and Dr. Adrian Stanica, current general director, in presence of the Minister of Research and Innovation, Prof. Nicolae Hurduc.
The conference will continue with talks on the collaboration between GeoEcoMar and its international partners, section opened by Dr. Mihaela C. Melinte-Dobrinescu, the scientific director of the Institute.
The event will be hosted on the first day by the Romanian Academy Library Hall and on the second day by the Athenee Palace - Hilton Hotel.
National Institute for Research and Development on Marine Geology and Geo-ecology – GeoEcoMar intents to establish a partnership with private entities from Romania and Norway focused on geology, physical modelling, exploitation analysis, production forecast and analysis on the implementation of secondary oil recovery methods, ,in order to implement a project funded by the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms, under thematic area Energy (Carbon Capture and Storage) with the title „Life cycle analysis of CO2 EORStore application onshore in Romania”, acronym FORStoreLCA.
